SAVING IMAGES: On a Mac, saving an image is easy: just drag the image you want to save from your browser to your desktop. It that doesn't work, simply hold down the Control key and click on the image. Then select " Download Image to Disk" from the menu that pops up. It's a good idea to save it on your Desktop so you can find it easily. If you're a Windows user, you'll need to specify the download location before you save the image (some Windows computers will let you save the image by dragging it to the Desktop - give it a try to see if it works). It's very simple, in any case: First, use your right mouse button to click on the image. This
will pop up what's called a " context-sensitive menu" . One of
the options in the menu will be to " Save Picture As..." or " Save
Image As..." . Select this option with your left mouse button. A dialog
box like the one pictured below will pop up. Select a download location
from the drop-down list, give the file a name (or accept the default name),
and click " Save" . The image will be saved to your computer in
the location you selected. I've illustrated the process below: (Close this window to return to the previous page). All content © 2002 by Cia's Palette - All Rights Reserved |
